We are missionaries to fishing villages along the Bay of Bengal in South India. Amazed at the work God is doing in India, we feel very privileged to get to be a part of it. He gave us a vision for an orphanage in February, 2006 and by August, 2006 an orphanage was built and filled with 49 children. To date there are 65 children living in the orphanage. These children were taken off the streets and out of harms way, and moved safely into "Jahnavi's Heart Orphanage". It is here where a loving pastor named Joseph and his wife Jahnavi (also called Sony) oversee and care for the children. At their new home they receive food, clothing, medical attention, schooling, the Word of God and a lot of love. Only God could have done so much so quickly.
After our 2007 mission trip to India, God placed another vision into our hearts. It was to provide a home for widows of India who have no one to care for them. "Grandma's House" was near completion by the time we arrived in January, 2008. Eleven widows had already been moved into the home. These widows also were taken from the streets. Some had been living under the trees. All were weak, afraid and alone, but Jesus has restored their hope. Jesus has showed them love and they now know He is their provider, the One who hears their prayers. What an awesome God we serve. Thank You, Jesus!
