GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

Has God ever asked you to do something impossible?  If He has, then get excited, because that means He is about to do something great.  In February of 2005, God asked us to do something that seemed quite impossible.  he told us to have an orphanage built in India.  Yeh right, God.  Three small town gals from Southern Illinois and You want us to get an orphanage bult in India.  We had no finances and no plan.  So we prayed and asked Him what to do.  God told us all we had to do do was to tell people and He would do the rest.  Simple enough.  We began to tell people and He began to move.  By August of 2005, Jahnavi's Heart Orphanage was built and filled with 48 precious children taken from the streets of India.  What seemed impossible for us, was accomplished by our God in just a few months.  Impossible?  Don't think so.  Not when  God is on the scene!

Well, He has done it again.  A few months ago, He began speaking the word "widows" to us.  We e-mailed Pastor Joseph in India and asked him what was going on with the widows over there.  He said that he had been praying for five years that God would place the widow on our hearts.  We found out the widows live a most miserable life.

God wants a house built to house widows who are elderly and have no one to care for them.  The cost to build this widow's home is $4,500.00.  Nearly $2,000.00 has already come in and the building process has begun.  Pastor Joseph projects the building will be completed by the end of August.  We are believing that all funds needed will come in.

Cindy found a scripture that describes the life of most of these widows.  It is Psalm 31:9-13.  Have mercy on me O LORD, for I am in trouble; my eye wastes away with grief, yes, my soul and my body!  For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing; My strenght fails because of my iniquity, and my bones waste away.  I am a reproach among all my enemies, but especially among my neighbors, and am repulsive to my acquaintances; those who see me outside flee from me.  I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind;  I am like a broken vessel.  For I hear the slander of many; fear is on every side; while they take counsel together against me,  they scheme to take away my life.

If you read how Pastor Joseph described their situation, you know that this scripture sums up their lives.  These poor old ladies are in desperate situations.  They need help and they need to know that someone loves them.  They need to know that Jesus loves them.  Before these ladies can be taken into the widows home, they must have a sponsor.  One person may sponsor a widow for $48.00 a month, or one person can sponsor a widow for $24.00 a month.  If you choose to sponsor a widow for $24.00 a month, your $24.00 will be coupled with someone elses $24.00 to make a total of $48.00 per widow.

Below are pictures of widows needing sponsors with a link that will take you to their individual profile.
